YOGA at Hemenway will run before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:10 am. It will be available to Hemenway Students Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We will run a 4-week program starting Tuesday January 8, 2019 through Thursday, January 31, 2019. Laura Mayhew, our BOKS trainer and certified yoga instructor, will lead the students in a 30 minute practice which includes yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.

This 3rd annual event is an opportunity for students to learn about different cultures and some of the unique traditions of their fellow students. It will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 12 PM. (note: corrected date/time)
We are in need of volunteers per country to help with planning and showcasing aspects of various country's cultures. We are looking for people who can commit to helping in advance as well as the day of the event. Volunteers can help showcase their own country/origin but are also welcome to learn about a new country and help showcase that country.
There will be meetings at 6 PM before the Dec 5th & Jan 9th PTO meetings to provide details for planning purposes, and to go through any additional questions. It is not required for everyone to attend both planning meetings, as emails will be sent as well.
Setup will be from 11am-12:30pm on January 27th We are aiming to have everyone set up no later than 12:30pm.
Now through January 23, 2019: Writing contest. Suzanna Parpos, columnist for the Framingham TAB, is inviting one FPS student (5th and 6th grades only) to be a Guest Columnist for: The 3rd Annual Take Over My Column Essay Contest. Please click here to see details and how to enter.
The November PTO meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 PM. New faces are always welcome. Don't be shy! Ms. Carey will be our special guest speaker. She will be telling us about the SAGE program. There will be a 6pm pre-meeting for room and grad level parents.
